I am a third-year PhD student with the UK Research & Innovation Centre for Doctoral Training in Natural Language Processing at the University of Edinburgh. I am fortunate to be supervised by Edoardo Maria Ponti and Ivan Titov. I am part of the EdinburghNLP group.

My research focuses broadly on improving the efficiency of neural models. More specifically, I am interested in learnable strategies to compress a sequence of tokens which could pave the way for tokenization-free architectures and more compute-optimal models.

Previously, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Warsaw. I am grateful to Henryk Michalewski and Łukasz Kaiser for supervising my thesis. I also interned as AI researcher at Meta AI in Paris, and as DL&Algo engineer at Nvidia in Warsaw. Finally, I worked as a Student Researcher at the University of Wrocław, under the supervision of Jan Chorowski and Adrian Łańcucki. Currently, I am doing a Research Internship with Cohere, supervised by Sebastian Ruder and Kelly Marchisio.
